Friday
Jon has had a good day. He got up walking last night and today. He even went down to the cafeteria with Blake, Campbell and I. He is still on a fentynl PCA, a continuos pain drip. Jon has been up in the chair today most of the time, because it is more comfortable than the bed. His "grumpy" roommate just left, but they are actually planning on moving Jon to a private room. The weather is in the 30's, so I have been inside all day. Campbell has done great the last couple days with all the waiting and has brought a smile to many faces we've seen.

Great news Jon, the Hilton offer still stands if you feel like touring NYC a few extra days. ;)
day 2 sounds good... glad you can be up in a chair. we are enjoying the perfect sunny weather and gorgeous ocean views in carmel...walked around lobos state park - saw otters on the rocks below in the surf..and we found a fudge shop that is TOO good! uh-oh.

That sounds like really good news. We are so happy that Jon is doing well. Jesus is going to take care of everything for you. He brought you to NY for a reason. It is all going to be good. Tell Jon all of you are in our constant prayers. ~KB and MJ~

So happy for you that your day after surgery went well. We are also thankful that they are managing your pain well. Laura, thanks for the updates. We have had Jon on our minds for the last several days. Of course Campbell has brought many smiles -- she always does! Hugs and lots of love your way, Jon.
